Fred Pundt was born in August of 1956. After graduation from high school he joined the US Navy. He served as an Automatic Combustion Control Maintenanceman. Fred received Leadership/Management training and ultimately achieved the grade of E7. He was awarded 2 National Defense Medals, 5 Good Conduct Medals, 3 Southeast Asia Deployment Ribbons, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations, 1 Navy Unit Commendation, 3 Navy Achievement Medals, 2 US Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbons, 1 Humanitarian Service Medal, The Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, The Kuwait Liberation Medal and the Navy Expeditionary Medal. Fred Pundt retired from the US Navy in April of 1994.
Fred is a valued employee of the City of Eagle Lake, is on several boards and is a member of VFW Post 8783 and The Eagle Lake Ex-Military Association
